I have been tagged. And, I am so happy that I have because the post I was going to post today was not up to par. No matter how much coffee I drank it was not getting better. Merci, Deja Pseu for the tag!!
1. Last movie you saw in a theater?
"Horton Hears a Who" and it was horrible. Note to self: Avoid all Jim Carry movies unless they are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and maybe The Truman Show.
2. What book are you reading?
C'est la Vie by Suzy Gresham
3. Favorite board game?
Don't have one.
4. Favorite magazine?
The New Yorker or McSweeney's
5. Favorite smells?
L'Artisan Fig Perfume, baking bread, coffee, He-weasel after he has shaved and splashed on Bulgari Aqua, basil and garlic.
6. Favorite sounds?
Laughter, M. Inkey purring in my ear, and Morissey
7. Worst feeling in the world?
Hopelessness
8. What is the first thing you think of when you wake up?
Pee and then check email.
9. Favorite fast food place?
In and Out Burger---oh how I miss In and Out. Sing along with me, "In and Out, In and Out, That's what a Hamburger's all about."
10. Future child’s name?
Fuck children. But, there were names picked out for the children who never came. I have packed them away in my psyche in mothballs and I prefer to keep them there.
11. Finish this statement. “If I had lot of money I’d….?
Buy an apartment in Paris. Maybe in the Ile de Cite. Le sigh!!
12. Do you sleep with a stuffed animal?
Yes, it an oatmeal coloured rabbit. I have developed a personality for the bunny. It is called the disapproving bunny. Whenever He-weasel says something I, or, should I say, Bunny disagrees with she shakes her paw and makes the tisking sound. We also call it the bunny of shame. It may look sweet and innocent but it is the personification of the Super-ego. Don't mes with bunny. She has a mean streak a mile wide ( I am expecting F.O.T. to get this obscure reference).
13. Storms - cool or scary?
I love them initially and then they make me aware of the power of nature and that is when I start to get scared.
14. Favorite drink?
I am reading this as a multiple choice question. Coffee, Jack Daniels and ginger ale, carrot Juice, and Champagne.
15. Finish this statement, “If I had the time I would….”?
Hmm, well the one thing I have is plenty of time. So, I don't think there is much I would be doing with more time.
16. Do you eat the stems on broccoli?
No. But, M. Inkey used to have a brother cat, who died in July, and he very much enjoyed broccoli---so I always gave him the stems. Now when I throw away the stems it makes me miss my furry friend.
17. If you could dye your hair any color, what would be your choice?
The perfect red that it used to be when I went to Juan at Umberto's. That was the best red ever.
18. Name all the different cities/towns you’ve lived in?
L.A., Gothenberg, Santo Domingo, Las Vegas, Lake Bluff and Austin.
19. Favorite sports to watch?
Tennis, especially when Rodger Federer is playing. Rodger brings out the cougar in me. Roarrr!
20. One nice thing about the person who sent this to you?
I am not playing by the rules. I cannot keep it to one thing. Deja Pseu is smart, funny, stylish, and she can do thing with scarfs that Hermes can only dream of. Her blog makes me laugh and make me think---two of my favorite things to do.
21. What’s under your bed?
Pictures.
22. Would you like to be born as yourself again?
Yes, I could recast some of the starring characters of early life.

Lightly scrambled or poached
25. Favorite place to relax?
In bed
26. Favorite pie?
Pumpkin or coconut cream
27. Favorite ice cream flavor?
Mint chip, coffee or peach
28. Of all the people you tagged this to, who’s most likely to respond first?
Oh, no, I am not playing like that. The bunny of shame might do that---but I am cool and groovy with whoever wants to play the meme game with me. No pressure!
I am tagging: Sorting it Out, Sub-urban Ramblings, and Searching the Inner Me ( Do you notice the theme?)

Bvlgari Aqua! Oh that's super sexy! Baking bread smell, dear me, that makes me hungry..
Start hangin' them pictures, darlin'!
Aww shucks, you are too kind. (blushing)
Lynn: Love the Bulgari. When he puts it on I follow him around just sniffing on him. Love it!
No, not hanging pictures. We are getting the heck out of Austin.;-)
Deja Pseu: No, I am not kind. I am honest. :-)
Oooo, I already knew I liked you. But the mint chip, coffee and peach ice creams sealed it for me!
We're going to have to find you a cooler place for your Paris apt. -- too many tourists on Ile de la Cité, plus the lights from the bateaux mouche shining in your windows. Come be a bobo with me in the 11th!
Bisous,
Karen
on your no. 11, mademoiselle, i'm so with ya! i fell in love with paris because of my initial stay on the ille in a snowy winter of 2000 at place dauphine [the square east of pont neuf] at no. 18, third floor- with a great view of the park from the bed and living rooms. this was after walking all along rue dauphin trying to find this darned place [funny we were able to access the house courtyards with the same code- its a secret]. finally, a nice woman directed us to the Place and after climbing up, was rewarded. i was to stay there thrice more absorbing paris, eating and drinking and cooking and shopping...
Karen: Really, we share the same flavors. Can we get these flavors in Paris? If not, we need to learn to make ice cream.:-)
Okay, I am so open to suggestions. Any apartment available in your building? ;-)
Sub-Urban: I do love the idea of the Ile de la Cite and all of its history and how it is an island with an island. Your adventures sound delightful.
Hope you are willing to play the Meme game. But, no pressure.:-)
We have an ice cream maker, and Chiclette makes the best mint chip -- seriously, better than Berthillon's IMHO. We're just waiting for you to show up.
Real estate moves quickly here, so you'll just have to come and stay with us to do your search in the coolest bobo neighborhood in Paris (ok, so it's not the chic-est, but it is very fun).
Karen: BETTER than Berthilion. Wow!!! That is some serious ice cream. I cannot wait to try it.
And, I love your suggestion. yes, staying with you and house hunting together would be the best. Especially if we could come back to a fresh batch of Chiclette's mint chip. Le sigh!
the brand of speed reading class that i took taught to skip seminal information, obviously. i just realized that i've been tagged- i will gladly oblige! merci.
Sub-Urban: I sensed that it might have skipped your attention. Happy you are willing to play. :-)
You don't have a favorite board game? Communist.
Randal: Really, is that the way the McCarthy era folks determined communists? So, Mister America, what is your favorite board game?
Salut ma belle!!!!
This is such a cool meme. It's such a great way to know more and learn about other bloggers, in this case you, ma chére.
Merci beaucoup for thinking of me, I'll do it as soon as I can.
And thank you a lot for your compliments in my blog, you've been kind calling me a star *blushes*
Love
Hi LBR, this is a response to yesterday's post. The book I was talking about is Embracing Uncertainty by Susan Jeffers. I have also read other books by her. I have heard of EMDR and I know one person used to practice it here, but I don't know if they still are available. I just didn't understand how it worked. I hope you post your Paris photos, I travel vicariously haha.
Leigh in NC
BTW my dogs and cat love the new Garnet Hill blanket:-).
say, you're kind of a brat, beating me to the punch like that! But your answers were fun so I guess I'll forgive you. Plus if I stop stalling and get to mine, perhaps I'll beat Thomas . . .
Leigh: Oh yes, Susan Jeffers. A million years ago I read her book called "Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway." Her advice stuck with me for years.
EMDR is a really great and quick way to deal with phobias. I hope there is someone in your area that is doing it. I am happy to post Paris pictures---but I so hope that one day you can go.
p.s. happy that the pets are enjoying their new blanky.
Materfamilias: Yep, I kinda am.;-) I was the annoying teachers pet kind of kid. As soon as I saw that Deja Pseu predicted you would have it in first that old part of me got activated. Sorry! But, I am so looking forward to your meme.
I'm still stuck on the previous post.
You didn't think it was through snitching and Congressional committees, did you?
My favorite boardgame? Pshaw. What is more American And Patriotic® than Monopoly?
Randal: I love how you copyrighted "patriotic." Yep, when you put the copyright it there is no game more American than Monopoly. Did I make it up or is there a Donald Trump version of that game? If there isn't, there should be.
I have a Toulouse Monopoly game
:)
Corfu Cousin: If only you had said that there was an "In and Out" in Toulouse.
LaBeletteRouge: What a wonderful response to the meme! (I got here from UneFemme who is all that you say).
Coconut cream pie is new to my awareness. Things we do not have in the UK - hmm...
Shefaly: Thank you so much for coming over and posting. I hope you come back and visit often. :-)
Oh,I am so sorry there is no coconut cream pie in England. You must google for the recipe and you must make, bake and eat this pie. And, if you have a family make two pies--one for you and one for them.;-)
Great answers!
I concur on pumpkin pie, all your ice cream flavors and The New Yorker and mcSweeneys. Obviously, you have excellent taste!
I heart fashion: No, it is you that has excellent taste.;-)
Eating pumpkin pie while reading McSweeny's may be one of life's greatest pleasures.
Did M. Inkey's brother cat die of broccoli poisoning?
Some more French inspiration for you - like you need it! A beautiful ex-model I used to know in Melbourne, now living in Paris:
http://frenchfling.blogspot.com/
Gervy: Well, if it was the broccoli that killed him it took 20 years to do the job. He lived for 20 years with diabetes and that is miraculous. I think it was the broccoli that kept him alive so long.;-)
Merci for the link. You know only the chic-est of friends. I feel lucky to call you mine.:-D xo
