La Belette Rouge is the autobiographical story of a 40-something woman who lives in L.A., and rather not. This blog is about trying to find home, losing home, hating L.A and living childless not by choice. I share excerpts from my work in progress, “Thursdays with Igor” which is a book about my weekly sessions with my Beverly Hills psychoanalyst. I have two other regular series: “Writing in Valencia” which is me attempting to prove that you can write wherever you are and “365 things that don’t suck about L.A.” which is me trying to find the good about the place that I don't want to be.
I blog about me and the things I think about: psychology; psychoanalysis; infertility; writing; getting published; trying to prevent skin from showing signs of aging; shopping at J Crew; charm bracelets; finding home, losing home, and shopping for homes; missing Chicago; life in L.A.; my husband (He-weasel), my dog-aughter, Lily; and other things that I love and long for. I recently hosted the "Home is where the guest blogger post is" series in which 18 different writers explore the complicated concept of home.
